Menores infractores en instituciones de reforma. Una mirada desde dentro

Resumen:	El objetivo central aquí perseguido es conocer las percepciones que tienen los menores infractores con responsabilidad penal respecto a las prácticas del sistema reeducativo y resocializador por el que se trata de dar respuesta a sus necesidades y problemas (según establece la Ley 5/2000). A los efectos de tal objetivo, se ha considerado que el ámbito más propicio para conocer los discursos de los actores involucrados se da en el tipo de medidas que recurren a los centros de privación de libertad, en cuyo medio se manifiestan del modo más directo los efectos del sistema y las consecuencias derivadas de las relaciones cara a cara entre educador e infractor, con la menor contaminación de influencias de otros agentes. En este contexto es donde cabe estimar mejor las repercusiones que tienen los discursos sobre los objetivos pretendidos (la resocialización y emancipación del menor) y, sobre todo, la coherencia que cabe esperar entre necesidades sociales y personales del menor privado de libertad.
Young offenders in correctional centres. A look inside
Abstract:	The central objective pursued here is to learn about the perceptions that young offenders with criminal responsibility have regarding the practices of the system for re-education and re-socialization that attempts to provide an answer to their needs and problems (as established in Spanish Law 5/2000). We have considered, for the purposes of this aim, that the most favourable sphere for discovering what the actors themselves have to say is to be found in the type of measures applied in centres where there is loss of liberty, in which the effects of the system and the consequences arising from face-to-face relations between educator and offender can be seen most directly, with the least possible tainting by influences from other agents. It is in this context that it is possible to make a better appraisal of the repercussions that discourses on the aims pursued (re-socialization and emancipation of the minor) and, in particular, the coherence that can be expected between the social and personal needs of the minor being held in custody
